Built in 1938 by the Oregon State Highway Department and Lane County at a cost of $13,154. It replaced a ferry at this important river crossing, serving motorists and local residents. Restoration and reinforcement projects were undertaken in 1987 and 2012 to maintain the structure while allowing modern traffic loads.
